The criteria for membership includes:
  • Individuals who live, work, worship or attend school in Alpena, Presque Isle, Montmorency, Alcona, Oscoda, Iosco, Ogemaw or Arenac county in Michigan
  • Any person over the age of 55 who receives a retirement annuity, pension, social security, or similar retirement payment from private or government sources, and lives in, or belongs to a retirement organization located in the county or in a county contiguous to the county where the credit union’s main office or a branch is located.
  • Employees of Wolverine State Credit Union
  • Members of the immediate families of the foregoing
  • Organizations, incorporated or otherwise, composed for the most part of the same general group making up the membership outlined above.
  • A spouse of a deceased member if elected to membership prior to remarriage

Follow these steps to switch your primary banking institution to Wolverine State Credit Union.

1. Open a Wolverine State Credit union account
Apply online today to become a member! The process is simple. You will only need a few items!

2. Switch your Direct Deposit
Utilize our Direct Deposit Form and provide it to your employer to move your deposits. To change Social Security deposits, visit: https://www.ssa.gov/deposit/howtosign.htm or call the Social Security Administration at: 800-772-1213

3. Update your automatic payments and withdrawals
It may seem daunting to change your automatic payments but we are here to help! Utilize our Automatic Payment Request Form if you need help starting the process. Sign up for free BillPay through our online banking or WSCU mobile app to set up automatic payments yourself!

4. Close your old account
Once everything is switched from your old account, use this Account Closure Request Form to close your old account. Provide this form to your former financial institution or contact them on steps to close.
